Mayor Andy Steingold Addresses Safety Harbor Rotary
/in Uncategorized/by Jody CalderMany thanks to Mayor Andy Steingold for filling in at the last moment to replace a scheduled speaker who was unable to attend the Rotary breakfast meeting yesterday. The mayor was inadvertently introduced by Sergeant at Arms Harry Rabb by the wrong last name sparking hilarious jabs from Rotarians. At least six people used happy bucks to thank the mayor for being there – all with different and incorrect surnames.
Taking the good-natured ribbing in stride, Mayor Andy discussed the latest news in Safety Harbor including property taxes, employee raises, Marshall Street church access, and plans for the newly acquired property behind the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa on Tampa Bay. He was kind enough to stay beyond his prepared remarks for a question and answer session. Thanks again Andy!

Rotary to Donate Children’s Books to Safety Harbor Library
/in Uncategorized/by Jody CalderLisa Kothe, Director of the Safety Harbor Library, will join us for breakfast at our regular meeting tomorrow to receive our annual gift of children’s books. Each year the Rotary Club of Safety Harbor donates a book in honor of each weekly speaker who addresses our group. We are proud of this tradition and glad to help the local treasure that is our library.
