“HAVE A SOUL GIVE A SOLE” COLLECTING SCHOOL SHOES FOR 2018 SCHOOL YEAR
Safety Harbor, FL - May 1, 2017 - Rotary International, Safety Harbor Chapter is excited to announce the HAVE A SOUL, GIVE A SOLE school shoe collection for the upcoming 2018 school year. We all know how important it is to look good on that first day of school, and Safety Harbor Rotary wants to help kids get a good jump on their upcoming school year. The shoe collection starts May 1st at several location throughout Safety Harbor and neighboring cities. They are collecting shoes for children from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Shoes donated will benefit children from local Pinellas County organizations: Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, Florida Youth Ranch, and CASA.
Craig Wright, President of Safety Harbor Rotary said “We’ve been mentoring several young men in the community and saw the need that a shoe drive like this would fill. We want to do our part to provide kids the opportunity to have that great first day of school feeling, and hope it helps to carry them through the year.” Several local businesses are supporting the drive by making available collection boxes in their place of business. The following businesses have committed to having the collection box available from May 1st to June 30th, Safety Harbor City Hall, Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, Safety Harbor Public Library, Paradise Restaurant, U-Fits, Valbona’s, and Brus’.
New shoe donations are for children from Kindergarten to 12th grade, for both boys and girl, sizes from kid 7 to adult 14’s. Also gift certificates are welcomed to local shoe stores as well. Gift certificates can be mailed to Rotary Club of Safety Harbor, P.O. Box 1244, Safety Harbor, FL 34695, or contact Craig Wright at email@example.com. ... See MoreSee Less
